The Daily Graphic supports efforts being made by government to make the country green. The paper says citizens must be part of this, emphasizing that greening Ghana should be a collective responsibility. It says one of the initiatives under the Green Ghana Project, which was inaugurated by the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, which is a mass tree planting exercise beginning on June 11, 2021 must begin a reconnaissance in the country, where all pay particular attention to Ghana and its gaping wounds as a result of the depletion of the forest cover, the felling of trees, illegal mining and other environmentally unfriendly practices. The paper believes green environments sustain life and without it life ends.
The Ghanaian Times joins President Akufo Addo in urging journalists to ensure that they do not sacrifice the integrity and future of society on the altar of an ill-considered publication. The Paper is saddened that there are media outlets affiliated to political parties and ideologies just to pander to the whims and caprices of their bank rollers. The Times is however happy that the President condemned attacks on journalists and appeals to him to take personal interest in ensuring that all those who have perpetuated attacks on journalists are brought to book. The paper advises media organisations not to provide opportunities for people to inflame passions as journalism is for ensuring the good of society.
