The Chief of Obliman Traditional Area in the Ga West Municipal Assembly, Nii Ayitey Anumle Oyanka I, has organised the maiden edition of his annual Inter-School Quiz.
The quiz took place at the forecourt of the King Oyanka Palace at Obliman in Accra.
The first quiz is part of the activities planned for the King’s historical book launch, and it has been promised that it will be an annual event to support the brilliant students under His jurisdiction.
At the end of the quiz, five schools out of ten progressed to the final stages, which will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
The schools that progressed were NAVS Kids School, Visilica International School, Manhean M/A Basic School, Michael Morninger Presbyterian School, all in the Ga West Municipal Assembly in Accra, and Anamase M/A School in the Akyem Bosome Traditional Area, Eastern Region.
Speaking to the media, Nii Oyanka advised parents to invest in their children to see their progress.
“Children are an investment one needs to really put attention on.” He also expressed gratitude to patrons and schools that participated in the maiden edition and promised to make it an annual event.
