The Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti Morkwa Constituency in the Central Region, David T. D. Vondee has foreseen excessive spending with a desperate speed to take the little that is left ahead of the 2024 general election as the Minister prepares to present the Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Tuesday 23rd July, 2024.

The MP in an interview with Journalists in Parliament a day before the presentation of the review budget seemed to see nothing good coming to Ghanaians as he proclaimed that, “I see people who are running a race of looting, grabbing the rest before they leave office. I see people who are desperate to take the little that is left and I don’t see people who are willing to be sober, and to see the Ghanaian people as the suffering masses”.

David Vondee who described the current economy as “Junk” said that, Government economic team headed by the Vice President Dr. Bawumia is nothing but “garbage economy”, it is economy where, there is an agenda to loot this country, an economy where they decided to make very few rich and comfortable at the detriment of all other Ghanaian”.

He further accused the current administration of running an economy where “friend and family at the most focus so the only word to describe this economy led by Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia is that, this economy is a garbage economy nothing more, nothing less”.

Mr. Vondee however, prayed and hoped that, the Government in the review budge has some level of human feeling towards this “ailing economy, this almost totally damaged economy but knowing who they are, I doubt whether they will have any sympathy for the economy, they will be more reckless in spending, and they will be horribly dangerous for the country”.
