He underscored the urgent need for leaders to prioritize development and create opportunities in partnership with the private sector to stimulate employment.

Speaking at the University of Ghana Graduate Students Association Empowerment and Leadership Lecture in Accra, he called for a unified approach, urging both leaders and citizens to take active ownership of the nation’s resources and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The public lecture is part of the activities commemorating Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin’s 25th anniversary celebration and aims to inspire effective leadership in contemporary Ghana.

Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin lamented that selfishness in leadership has ruined the country, urging Ghanaians to demand change and not be afraid to voice their concerns.

Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin emphasized the need for decentralization, asking the government to relocate key ministries, such as Food and Agriculture and Lands and Natural Resources, from Accra to other regions.

He argued that this move would alleviate the pressure on Accra and promote balanced regional development.

The Okyenhene stressed the importance of investing in technology, stating that quality education can be achieved when Ghana invests in quality teachers to teach science and technology.
