The Daily Graphic pins its hopes on the newly introduced national security strategy to help tackle among other security challenges, the expanding menace of land guard activities, the never-ending tussle with vigilantism, the growing sophistication in cyber-crime and the debilitating impact of illegal mining. To the paper, the looming threat of spillover militant attacks from neighbouring Burkina Faso can also not be under-estimated. The Graphic finds it encouraging that the overarching goal of the strategy is to make the country secure and united with a prosperous constitutional democracy that upholds the rule of law. To the paper, Ghana is undoubtedly a leader in the sub-regional affairs, and for the country to unveil such an important strategy document at a time like this will also require all well-meaning persons to commit to its implementation to create an all-inclusive, cohesive, stable and united country.

The Ghanaian Times commends the partnership between government and Zoomlion for the measures being taken in waste management in the country. A check indicates that the country produces 12, 710 tons of waste per day. It is for this reason that the paper sees as appreciative the efforts of Zoomlion Ghana in procuring 126 waste management trucks for the country. This is to help convey waste from communities to the landfill sites as well as facilitate the ongoing disinfection exercise rolled out from the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Paper appeals to government to ensure compliance with all regulations and sanctions to check indiscriminately dumping of refuse by the people.
